Why is it that the traffic wardens seem so keen to book cars of the people just stopping to shop  in North Street yet seem unable to book the increasingly large numbers of white vans that overrun the area due to various building works in the shops. I am aware that a few phone calls have been made regarding this matter but still nothing is done about it. Is there a deal being done between "white van man" and the council? Today the wardens were out booking cars yet a motorway maintenance van was parked on double yellow lines and no ticket was given. Not quite right is it? Surely a rule is a rule and North Street wants its customers!
