FOR most people, 60 tea pots, 100 sugar bowls, 120 milk jugs and 50 cake stands would be enough.

But not for Vicky Rowe, of Bedminster, Bristol.

She is trying to further her vast vintage china collection, which also includes over 750 trio sets, each consisting of a cup, saucer and side plate.

Vicky, 32, started collecting vintage china as a hobby, and spent much of her spare time at auctions and in charity shops.

She has now turned her hobby into a business, and hires out her china for vintage-themed weddings, birthday parties and christenings.

However, she is expecting her first baby in September, and is finding it difficult to go out searching for china as she used to.

“I’m heavily pregnant, so it’s all getting a bit tricky!” she says. “I’m hoping that if I let people know I’m interested in buying vintage crockery they will come to me.

“I’m looking predominantly for dinner services –starter plates, dinner plates and dessert plates, even soup bowls.

“I especially need dinner plates in large quantities. They need to be attractive and of course vintage.

“I’m even interested in vintage table cloths and need to get my hands on more sugar tongs, and more tea sets as well!”
