‘Between the Lines’?
If we look inside a writer’s mind
What strange enchantments will we find?
A new experience for the literary minded
Friday 3rd July - 8.15 Start
at Circles, 65 North Street, Bedminster, Bristol BS3 1ES
Cover charge £3 Bar & snacks available from7.30
Tickets now available
This is a cross between ‘Desert Island Discs’ and ‘In the Psychiatrist’s Chair’. A local writer will present some of their work, and something of themselves, for entertainment and enlightenment. They will reveal their inspirations and aspirations, and maybe more besides. They will then be interviewed, and respond to questions from the audience.
The subject of this event is Rebecca Lloyd, winner of the prestigious Bristol Short Story Prize 2008. She also teaches creative writing courses at the Grant Bradley Gallery and Borders. Her unusual literary pedigree will make for another fascinating evening. Previous ‘Between the Lines’ events have been a sell-out success.
So book early to build up excitement!

The event is hosted by T G Carter (The Bard of Windmill Hill)

Hello again!
Well, it was tough being the subject of the Between the Lines event, it took a lot more thinking about and organisation than I thought it would. The last one they held at Circles featured Sheila Hannon and she brought some actors with her for her performance. It was a good night, but the cafe is terribly small, I guess you know this, and so it's hard to move about. I don't know what they are planning in the future, but it's good to see local literary events going on.
Rebecca.

ReportCaptainplanet - perhaps something to take note of: this site could do with some "Edit Comment" links. Anywhoo, very much fascination by these events. Keep us posted for more!
