Fire in flats was deliberate

Bedminster: An electrical fire in a block of flats was caused deliberately, according to firefighters.

At 1.05am yesterday, Avon Fire and Rescue was called to Somerset House in Bedminster after residents said they could smell smoke.

On further investigation, it was discovered the fire was coming from an electrical cable in the plant room and smoke had risen up the lift shaft of the building. The fire was extinguished and no one was injured.
