Trouble in North Street

I have been prompted to write this in response to an incident at North Street Film Bank on Friday night. We are all busy people and as a consequence often fail to notice what is around us . This may be a new shop opening, a "thankyou for your custom" on the window of the local butchers or  a piece of grafitti that is, rather than just being a bit of scrawl is actually showing artistic talent. Likewise we sometimes notice things but are worried about being named as the nosey neighbours or being accused of interfering. Maybe we all need to be a bit more caring about our area, acknowledge those thankyou signs and likewise not be afraid to phone the police if we believe there to be either an incident in progress or the possibility of an incident.

Many thanks to the person that phoned about the incident at the Filmbank it was greatly appreciated!

Well said garlic48. All too often now, people 'look the other way'. I can understand that, if their personal safety is at stake, but a phonecall to the police costs nothing.
