The end of November sees one of Bristol’s most loved family businesses one step closer to finishing an expansion that will see the business grow by 50%.

Park Furnishers in Willway Street, Bedminster is starting to move its new products into the store extension with a new bed department taking shape and the new kitchen department to be completed by the beginning of December.
Park Furnishers acquired 55,000 sq ft of new warehouse space in Avonmouth earlier this year, leaving room for the existing retail store to grow in size.
Marketing manager Paul Marshall said: “It’s great to see the new layout taking shape and as we’ve already started to introduce some of our new ranges into the store it’s all becoming real now! We really tried to take on board what our customers wanted to see more of and this played a big part in the planning of the expansion. So far the feedback we’ve received has been fantastic, so it seems to have worked!
“The new picture and mirror gallery we have is very exciting, there are some great pieces of contemporary art including Brit Pop and prints from Bristol’s very own Banksy. There will be around 400 pieces of art available to purchase when we open this section next week.
“This is the most important development in the company’s history since it moved to Willway Street in 1977. In these bleak times it is fantastic that Bristolians are still behind us and still regard us as the best furniture store in the city.”
Owned and run by the Coller family since 1967, Park Furnishers is Bristol’s best known independent furniture store. The new expansion comes just in time for this year’s Winter Sale which will begin at the end of December.
