The greater Bedminster area certainly has a creative vibe about it. So far this year we’ve enjoyed the Southbank Bristol Arts Trail in May, Art on the Hill in October and soon it will be the turn of Front Room, Bristol’s oldest art trail, which returns to Totterdown this month for its ninth year.  The main event will run from 20 - 22 November 2009 – including a silent art auction to raise funds for Windmill Hill City Farm - but new to this year’s trail is a preview event, the Home Grown Bristol exhibition, which starts this weekend.

The Home Grown Bristol exhibition will run from 7 – 11 November in the Centrespace Gallery in Leonard Lane, just off Corn Street in the centre of Bristol. It will display the cutting edge of what Front Room 2009 has to offer and hopes to provide the public with an opportunity to view, discuss and buy local art.

The curated exhibition will feature art across all media, including painting, printmaking, photography, sculpture, textiles, digital media, fine art video and jewellery.

Over the years, the Front Room art trail has grown to attract more than 200 artists and over 4000 visitors. Front Room is all about local artists and the Home Grown Bristol exhibition aims to bring this art onto a wider stage.

Entry to the gallery is free.
