Step Into A Private Garden

A Bedminster resident is again opening his home to the public under the National Garden Scheme.

Andy Tyas is opening his garden gate at 22 Parson Street this Sunday and on July 11.

He said: "My front garden is predominantly a rose garden with in the region of 40 varieties of roses.

"My side garden is given over to a polytunnel, which houses many unusual tropical plants.

"My back garden is designed in the style of an English country garden."

Mr Tyas, who opened up his home to the public under the National Garden Scheme in June and July last year, was the proud winner of the Best Front Garden in Southville/Bedminster in 2008.
