Asda Bedminster Looking For Local Suppliers

Asda Bedminster is launching a search for the best local produce in Bristol.
The team at the East Street store are asking local suppliers who’d like to tickle Bristol’s taste buds with their wares to step forward and let them know what they have to offer.
Asda says it stocks thousands of local products across the UK and has won many awards for its work with local suppliers, guiding them through the accreditation process to find the best ways of working for both parties.
The supermarket also works hard to help with transport arrangements and cut down the amount of miles food products travel to stores.
Ian Russell, General Store Manager for Asda Bedminster, said: “Asda has invested a great deal of time and money into listening to our customers’ wants and needs when it comes to local produce. We’re keen to find suppliers in and around Bristol with local products that our customers will really support.
“By ensuring products are locally relevant, we hope our suppliers can develop their relationship with us in a way that suits them, helping cut costs and keep local produce at a competitive price in line with Asda’s everyday low prices philosophy.
“If you’re a local supplier with a product you think our customers might enjoy, we want to hear from you. Our local distribution centre will be able to discuss your product with you and guide you through the process of working with Asda.”
To find out more, interested suppliers should provide a name, contact number and product information to the customer service desk at the Asda store on East Street.
