PLEASE. We need your support to stop it from happening!!!!!!

Thanks for the information, Kaptain_Von. What a ridiculous situation! Everyone knows theres illegal activitiy going on there but the police can't do anything because basically, once again, the law is an ass.

Yes, prostitution and indeed brothels are illegal but massage studios are not and that is how they get round it. There is a major loophole in the law that allows these people to set up a so called massage studio. It works like this:

They buy a property, call it a massage studio and bring in some girls. Clients turn up and pay for a 'massage'. After this initial payment, the owner can then claim that if anything dodgy happened it was between two consenting adults who had got carried away in the heat of the moment. All the client had paid for was the massage. Unless the police raid the place and find Miss Whiplash's dungeon in the basement then the law cannot prove otherwise.

Similarly, once open the police are pretty much powerless unless a) the place causes a rise in anti-social behaviour leading to complaints or b) they can prove that the place is involved in criminal activities such as drugs, illegal pornography, slavery/people trafficking or underage girls...all of which involves expensive surveillance and a good case for doing so.

Apart from making a good case to the planning inspectorate and secretary of state the only other hope would be if the local paper could dig up something interesting on the woman trying to open the place and run an expose. However, I doubt she is the real 'owner' more likely a front for someone else who may not wish to be directly linked.

There are a lot of families living here now and it's just not appropriate to let a massage parlour set up here! Why should families put up with all the antisocial behaviour that will come with it, right on the doorstep, just so that some woman can make a mint from a questionable trade? Everyone knows what massage parlours are about, how do they manage to exist? Isn't prostitution illegal?

i hope people have objected to this utter nonsense. how the council or anyone else will think a brothel can be approved to open in a residential street, near shops and pubs, this narges woman needs to get lost.
