I my name is josie Mabbutt i am trying to trace a family called Burns .My grandmother lived with them in 1901 she was thier niece her name was lillian Maria Doddington the head of the house hold was a Peter Burns and his wife was Clara could have Crowford before marriage they had six children Alfred.Horatio.Lillian.Margaret.Norman.and Robert i would be very gratefull if anybody could shed any light on this family thank you

ReportYES i got the 1901 CENSUS THATS HOW I KNEW BUT LIKE U SAY IT ALL COST MONEY MY FATHER PASSED AWAY 35 YEARS AGO AND NEVER MENTIONED HIS FAMILY .MY GRANDMOTHER CAME FROM WANGFORD VILLAGE IN SUFFOLK AND I THINK SHE WAS SENT TO BEDMINSTER TO WORK FOR THE BURNS FAMILY I THINK CLARA BURNS WHO SHE WORKED FOR WAS AN AUNT AND COULD HAVE BEEN A CROWFORD BEFORE MARRAIGE THIER YOUNGEST CHILD IN 1901 WAS NORMAN BURNS

ReportThe family do show up on the 1901 census but this costs money to access. Have you tried Genes Reunited? You may get something from city records if you have a street name where they lived which would give you more information.
