John Doyle is a superb guitarist in performance with his talents as an outstanding singer-songwriter to the fore.
He is world-renowned for his work as founding member of the groundbreaking Irish/American band Solas; his own critically acclaimed solo recordings on Compass Records, and in partnerships with musicians such as Tim O'Brien, Andy Irvine, Bruce Molsky, Liz Carroll, Kate Rusby, Mike McGoldrick, John McCusker; Heidi Talbot; Kris Drever & Karen Matheson; for the Transatlantic Sessions at Celtic Connections.
John is a Grammy nominee, has performed for President Obama at the White House, and has been lauded with every accolade imaginable in Irish music. Widely considered the finest Irish guitarist performing today his formidable talents as multi-instrumentalist, arranger, singer, songwriter and interpreter of traditional Irish and English song have made him one of the most in-demand artists in Irish, Bluegrass, Americana and Folk over the last 20 years.
