Hello, I'm a student from the University of the West of England, studying at the Bower Ashton Campus situated in Ashton, so I live in Southville/Bedminster, and wouldn't rather live anywhere else in Bristol, I love the community we have.

I would like to know about what issues in the community affect you most, I've read a lot about the massage parlour objections and couldn't agree more. Are there any other issues that worry you in the community, or things you think should be changed?

Hello! Arre you doing a project on it for your course? Crime and antisocial behaviour are always a concern, I think that's the same anywhere really. But it's a great community here, people look out for each other.

I happen to like the massage parlours!

They don't do you any harm, so please can I suggest you simply ignore them and get on living your own life!

SleazeGeez, thank you for your response. Infact, it's the very kind of response I'm looking for. I respect that you have a different opinion from mine, that's fine, and is interestingly enough one of the aspects to my studies.

Nobody has any problems with you liking the massage parlours, and nobody is trying to interfere with your life either. You're very much entitled to do what you like, but, unfortunately, as we are all entitled to our own opinions and thoughts in this society, people are naturally going to object against something that is considered a taboo in their local community. I fail to see how my comment could make your "blood boil" - I was just simply, and quite politely, commenting on the fact that I would not like to see any more massage parlours in my local community? Similar to how people expressed their opinions on the Tesco Express in Stokes Croft - members of the community either want it there, or you don't. Absolutely nothing wrong with a difference in opinions in what you want to see in your local community, no?

Haha - not just looking to provoke angry responses from people for the sake of it! I just would like to know about the things that worry you about the community - whether that be something like crime and vandalism, the plans for the large Sainsburys for North Street, anything really that is a cause of concern for you in our community.

It's not interfering with other peoples choices to say that you don't want a massage parlour on your road. It's not appropriate to have them in residential areas.
