Hi Mrs_W2009, thank you for your response :)
I am indeed doing a project on it for my final year of study, doing an investigation into issues in the community which are causing concern but also a difference of opinion amongst different types of people.
Thank you for your suggestion and I'll definitely be looking into that.

I happen to like the massage parlours!
They don't do you any harm, so please can I suggest you simply ignore them and get on living your own life!

I have just re-read the comment about massage parlours, and it made my blood boil!
I don't want to interfer in your life; please don't interfer in mine!

SleazeGeez, thank you for your response. Infact, it's the very kind of response I'm looking for. I respect that you have a different opinion from mine, that's fine, and is interestingly enough one of the aspects to my studies.
Nobody has any problems with you liking the massage parlours, and nobody is trying to interfere with your life either. You're very much entitled to do what you like, but, unfortunately, as we are all entitled to our own opinions and thoughts in this society, people are naturally going to object against something that is considered a taboo in their local community. I fail to see how my comment could make your "blood boil" - I was just simply, and quite politely, commenting on the fact that I would not like to see any more massage parlours in my local community? Similar to how people expressed their opinions on the Tesco Express in Stokes Croft - members of the community either want it there, or you don't. Absolutely nothing wrong with a difference in opinions in what you want to see in your local community, no?

I too was offended by your post - like SllezeGeezer man said, please don't judge others. You seem to have a problem with him like the massage parlours - and I don't understand why why why?
They serve a purpose and provide a great community meeting place my lover. So please don't be sssssooooo disapproving of others lifestyles my love

Hi Rebecca
I'd love to help, but I really don't know what you want?
If you simply want people to disagree with your views for no apparent reason, can I suggest you simply wait for marriage! HaHa

I don't like massage parlours, but accept that others do use these and they have a right to use them and people should not be judged on using them

Janet, thank you for your response.
Haha - not just looking to provoke angry responses from people for the sake of it! I just would like to know about the things that worry you about the community - whether that be something like crime and vandalism, the plans for the large Sainsburys for North Street, anything really that is a cause of concern for you in our community.
Thanks,
Rebecca

For the record - I have never used a massage parlour
But I am happy if other want to use them - it is there choice
However, I just think they should be regulated to ensure that the girls are not being forced or abused. That would be very very very wrong. I think the girls need to be looked after well - emotionally and physically. I also think that they should be tested every month to ensure that they are clean
I don't think we should shut them down. Just make them more upmarket and less seedy.
How many massage parlours does Bedminster have now?

I am worried that people like SleazeGeez are marginalised. We may not agree with their lifestyle, but I think they should be free to live life as they see fit, just as long as it does not negatively inpact others.
I think SleazeGeez should be able to use the services of a lady of the night if he wishes, she consents and it is done behind closed doors in private.
I am also worried about .....
My feet.
The macro economic situation.
The price of petrol.
Hedgehogs.
World peace.
Lybia.
Cancer.
