Anybody out there know if it possible to take a local Housing authority to court for constantly and knowingly, moving Tenants with a known history of anti social behavior into next door properties? In my case the flat adjoining mine and the one immediately above... YOUR NEIGHBORS CAN AND DO! greatly influence your quality of life!.

It ought to be but I'd be surprised! They have a duty to house people but I imagine they don't have a duty to consider the impact on the new neighbours. They probably just end up months down the line going to the expense (tax payers' expense) of evicting the same trouble makers again and putting them somewhere else. it is miserable when you have difficult neighbours!

Sorry to **** on your parade buuuuut..

As long as 'that' proposed road is on the table, the council will move 'dodgy' , 'mad' and migrant tenants in, this is so the people DO NOT become a community, if they were to do so then they have a legitimate claim to the maligo NOT bieng built on. As it stands with people from all backgrounds and no real solid links to the place they will not oppose such things, its a shame to say but we are being used.. its classic social engineering tool "use theory" ..

Ive looked into this over the last few years and its not just here on the green strip in Bristol, but in cities across the uk with major development plans. And if there is one thing i hate then its Social engineering with out consent.

The **** will happen AFTER the new hospital is finished , when this happens the council will designate new parts of the city to become "an up and coming area", just as they did with southville. in that instance asda ruined the area, the police ignored the area, the area goes down hill, the prices go down, the middles move in and there you have it, one instant middle class area.. (i dont honestly see the poorer areas in bedmo becoming middle, but things are just about to change big time... are we ready i ask???

Try contacting TPAS their good for advice

They act as the vital hub between tenants, landlords and Government helping create successful relationships
By informing tenants how to challenge, influence and control how their housing services are delivered, we can improve tenants' quality of life and help landlords operate more effectively and efficiently. As one of the first organisations to specialise in tenant involvement at a national level, we've been leading the way ever since; successfully joining up government policy with front-line service delivery and grassroots tenants' groups.

    Google TPAS for contact details

ejcole, I totally agree and there really should be, again it is a classic example of the laws and rules being in place to look after and protect the wrong people. it has always been my worst nightmare having neighbours from hell moving in but thankfully mine are good.
