Michael Robson, Chief Executive of Andrews said: "Last year some 73 per cent of properties taking part received an offer and we anticipate a similar, if not better, result this year. Visitor levels were brisk and was encouraging to see which indicates that people are definitely interested in looking at property."

Mr Robson added: "Reducing the price   for just one day is a great way to encourage potential buyers to make an offer. This then helps stimulate the market and gets people moving into their dream home. Judging by our viewing figures this has certainly proved popular with house hunters."
