Year 13 students at St. Katherine's School in Ham Green have particular reason to be celebrating their A level results. Despite it being the most competitive year ever for students applying to university, all but three of St. Katherine's students achieved the grades they required to secure their place.

The school's overall pass rate was 97.3%.  The average UCAS point score per student was an impressive 306, reflecting a significant percentage of A, A and B grades.

Amongst the happy students looking forward to beginning their university courses are Hannah Smith who achieved two A* grades and an A. She is heading to Exeter University to read psychology. Luke Pellett achieved two As and a B and is going to read geography at Manchester University. Piran Hobbs got an A* and two Bs and will read psychology at Surrey.  Claire Williams achieved an A and two Bs and will study English and American literature at Kent University.

Headteacher Stephanie Quayle said "We are delighted that our students have almost all met their personal A level targets and gained their university places. These results are even better than our record results in 2010.  Our students deserve these excellent results. They have worked extremely hard and had great support from their teachers and families. We wish them every success for the future.  I am especially pleased for Aimi Bisco who joined us as head of sixth form last September.  She has been instrumental in helping our students achieve these great results."
