Snow to fall in Bedminister tonight

Snow is expected to fall on Bedminster tonight and tomorrow.

The Met Office has forecast light snow starting at about 6pm turning to heavier snow by 9pm.

Light snow is then expected in the earlier hours tomorrow.

Amber warnings have been issued by the Met Office throughout today and early tomorrow which means the public should "be prepared".

About 10 cm of snow could fall in amber warning areas, the Met Office says. This could be locally heavy and fall in a short period of time, perhaps just a few hours.

Visibility is expected to be very poor during this time so drivers are advised to be extremely careful and not to travel unless absolutely necessary.
