Police appeal for information following Windmill Hill attack

A man has been attacked in Bedminster in an attempted robbery.

Police are appealing for witnesses and information following an attack in the Windmill Hill area of Bedminster
The victim had been walking along Dalby Avenue, chatting on his mobile phone, before turning towards Windmill Hill at around 4.40pm on Friday 28 October 2011.
As he walked under the railway bridge into Windmill Hill, a man struck him twice on the back of his head, before putting him in a headlock and attempting to rob him.
Police have issued a description of the man they would like to speak to in connection with the attack.
He is described as being black, aged in his late teens or early twenties, and between 5ft 7 inches to 5ft 9inches tall.
He was wearing a thick green jacket of tracksuit-type material, baggy grey jeans and an olive green woollen hat.
