An unusual sculpture valued at more than £3000 was stolen from a Bristol gallery.

The sculpture by Clare Ferguson-Walker was taken from the View Art Gallery in Hotwells Road on Saturday.

A man and a woman entered the gallery and the man snatched the sculpture, valued at £3100, after a member of staff was distracted. The man then left the gallery.

The woman suspect was challenged by a member of staff who was verbally abused by the woman, who also left.

Police are urging members of the public and retailers to be vigilant for the unique sculpture.

Anyone spotting the sculpture or is offered it for cash, is asked to contact Bridewell police station on the force number 101 or on-line using the link: http://www.avonandsomerset.police.uk/contact/crime_reporting/
