BEG is a group of local volunteers who are part of the Sustainable Southville Project and looks at ways to save energy as a community and as individuals.
The group promotes community energy projects and energy savings locally. You may have seen their stall at this year's Best of Bedminster show.
At the drop-in event on 21 January, the group will be promoting things that local people can do in their own homes to reduce the bills and help to keep the heat in.
They will demonstrate how to tackle draughts in the home as well as give out tips on insulation and energy-saving freebies.
For further information about BEG or to help on the day, contact BEGBS3@yahoo.co.uk
The event is being held at Faithspace on Stackpool Road between 2.30pm and 4.30pm and all Bedminster and Southville residents are welcome.

That's true enough, the government has made noises about sorting them out I wish they'd get on with it. In the meantime you have to do what you can to improve your own bills, like putting in decent loft insulation.

Reportworth a visit but I feel it is like putting a sticking plaster on a leaking dam. The problem is the energy companies cartel. That is my opinion

ReportWell we could do iwth all the help we can get! Being fleeced by the energy companies is the only alternative. I'm sick of getting letters from them saying that the bills are going up yet again, twice this year already!
